My Goals

What I would want to gain from my English 101 class is to improve my writing skills. At times when I have a paper due I tend to have many ideas but i have trouble on being able to write them down on paper in "Essay form". Something else i would like to gain from this class is to improve my vocabulary as well as reaching my goal to have less punctuation and grammar mistakes in my papers. Even if this class was not mandatory for students I think that all students should take an English class to prepare them for any future class, because all teachers will expect you to be good writer as well as a good speaker, and what better preparation than an English class? Something else that I would also like to gain from this class is being able to share my papers and have other people view and proofread my papers. For example, a teacher, a friend, or most importantly I would like to start going to see the writing tutors before turning in any of my papers. This is something that I did not do last semester and I highly regret it because if I would of, my grades on my papers would have been higher. I am looking forward to this class and to learning new methods to reach all my goals and become a more sufficient writer and reader.
