Thinking Critically About Revisions

1.
My rough draft was a lot messier than what my final draft is. I had a lot of grammar mistakes which i fixed. I also did not have it in the format that the professor expected. After going to meet with Elise Spencer I realized that I was not doing paper right and that I was naming just a sequence of events and that's not what she was looking for.
2.
I did make a big correction to my paper. I had to change my whole essay and omit about 3 paragraphs that had no meaningful information. Elise advised me to just talk about one story and talk about that story throughout my whole paper.
3.
As I revised my paper I noticed that I had a lot of grammar mistakes. I notice that in my sentences I tend to have a lot of Run on sentences. I also noticed that I sometimes do not go into detail with my paper.
4.
What guided me the most when making revisions to my paper was peer reviewing. My classmates pointed out a lot of errors that I had in my paper. They also gave me new ideas to improve my paper which was very helpful.
5.
I think that my story was the strongest because it's an eye-catcher. My classmates that revised my paper really liked my story and wanted me to talk more about it. The weakest part of my assay i think would be my conclusion. This weekend i will work more on improving it.
Overall, I think that having a rough draft is a very important part of the Writing process because after reading it over and over again can help you come up with new ideas to improve you paper. Also, Asking a teacher's opinion is very important because they tell you if you are going through the right path.
